Scarce Unit Marked 1888 Ptn Lee Metford Bayonet (1st KOM, King`s Own Malta)
A British 1888 MK1 Type 2 Lee Metford pattern bayonet which bears a scarce unit mark to the 1st Battalion King`s Own Malta Regiment (1 KOM) 1903 - 1922.
The double edged blade is in good condition with only minor staining, the ricasso is stamped with an issue date of 3/ 94 also a small ED with crown above which indicates the manufacturer as Enfield.
