Scarce 'Hong Kong News' Newspaper May 1942 (Printed In English Under Strict Censorship By Occupying Imperial Japanese Forces)
A most scarce 8 page newspaper printed in Hong Kong whilst under Japanese occupation.
The HKN was a well established and much read tabloid newspaper prior to the outbreak of the war and the Imperial Japanese Forces allowed the circulation of the paper to continue after the British Crown colony was surrendered in December 1941, now more of a propaganda tool for the IJF.
There is much discolouration to the paper as it was of a poor grade back in the day, many edge tears and many minor holes to the folds, a rare survivor.
